My wife and I were watching TV last night when our daughter and her husband stopped by to talk to us.  This was a little unusual; they usually only came over on the weekends.  At first I thought they were going to tell us they were expecting a baby, but ruled that out when I looked into my daughters eyes.  Something was really troubling her.  They told us that they were having a really hard time managing their credit card payments.  They were in over their heads.  I offered to loan them some money but they quickly refused; they wanted to work this out on their own.  They just wanted my advice.  I suggested that they find one of the programs that work with you to consolidate debt into one affordable monthly payment.  I have read a number of successful stories about this.
