I had a lot of acne when I was a kid, and now I have a lot of acne scars.  My dermatologist just recently told me some methods that are available to remove acne scars, but first you have to know what kind of scars you have. He told me about icepick scars, which are deep and narrow, boxcar scars, which have well-defined edges, rolling scars, which create a wave-like appearance on the skin’s surface due to their wide and shallow depth, and hypertrophic scars, which raised scars which stay within the boundary of the original wound and can reduce in size with the passage of time.
