When I read that the Daiwa Viento can be cast about 120 feet with a 12 lb plug under a fairly light wind condition, I knew I wanted to buy it. I was a little skeptical at first. As a beginner angler, I was concerned that I would not be able to adopt the correct technique. I wanted a simple reel which could help me improve my game, so to speak. The Daiwa Viento offered this. My very first owned reel was actually the Daiwa Viento. It was tough choosing among the many products by Daiwa. The Luna, Sol and Fuego were all equally interesting. What sold me the Daiwa Viento was the promise of ease in use, really. It’s lived up to that promise, I can assure you.
