That’s a tough question. Every countertop has its benefits and its drawback. Relative newcomer on the scene, quartz countertops, have thrown their hat into the ring and they have made quite a name for themselves.
They are aiming to take countertop market share away from granite. Granite and quartz are not the only counterops in the running though.
Many people care about aesthetics more than functionality. The butcher block countertop is a popular choice for these people. Those countertops wont compete directly with quartz but they will end up in period style homes. Or home that appreciate the beauty of natural wood.
There are so many countertops so choose from. Too bad I can’t install them all.
